Dragomir Gagovic won 59.1% of the votes, while his opponent Nenad Mišović (SDS) won 40.9% of the votes. Ballot papers received through the post office and mobile team are not included. However, these votes cannot influence the ultimate outcome of these election.
No major incidents but few irregularities have been recorded in today’s early elections to elect the mayor of the municipality of Trnovo RS.
The major irregularities were recorded at the polling station Tvornica drveta (142B002), where registered a number of cases to assist in voting to those persons who did not need such assistance, pressure on voters in front of the polling station and urge to vote for a particular candidate, the presence of unauthorized persons and at least one case of voting on behalf of another person as well as family voting. There is a suspicion that voters in this polling station used mobile phones to photograph ballot papers in three cases, which is forbidden. Local officials of both parties were spotted directly in front of this polling station.
Family voting and returning persons from the polling station because they were not included in the Central Voters Register for that polling station has been recorded at other polling stations.
Due to the abovementioned irregularities , observers of the Coalition „ Pod lupom“ submitted two objections pertaining to the work of the Polling Station Committee. The Coalition invites Municipal Election Commission of the municipality of Trnovo RS and the BiH Central Election Commission to seriously and responsibly consider all comments recorded by observers in order to respect citizens’ electoral will.
According to reports obtained by Coalition’s observers, all polling stations have closed at 19:15 PM. Closing of polling stations, including counting of votes and packaging of election materials, carried out in accordance with the applicable regulations.
Coalition “Pod lupom” would like to thank election administration on good cooperation, media on timely and objective reporting, and citizens on exercising their democratic right to vote.
