The Coalition for Free and Fair Elections \u201cPod lupom\u201d<\/em> continues its efforts to strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations in the area of electoral processes through a two-day training titled \u201cElection Management Bodies in BiH: Fair Elections Begin with Knowledge \u2013 From Regulations to Practice.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

During the training, participants engaged in a series of interactive sessions that combined theoretical knowledge with practical exercises. The program began with an election quiz and an introduction to the fundamental principles of the electoral system in Bosnia and Herzegovina, allowing participants to test and refresh their existing knowledge.<\/p>\n

Subsequent sessions focused on the structure and responsibilities of election management bodies in BiH, as well as the importance of communication and cooperation between institutions and civil society organizations. Special attention was given to understanding the legal framework governing elections, including laws, bylaws, and new electoral technologies and approaches applied by competent institutions.<\/p>\n

The first day concluded with the topic of protection of electoral rights<\/em>, featuring an overview of procedures, deadlines, and legal remedies available in cases of electoral irregularities. Through practical exercises, participants learned how to draft complaints and appeals and how to report observed irregularities.<\/p>\n

On the second day, participants continued exploring the use of legal remedies in practice. Through group work and simulations, they had the opportunity to independently create objections, complaints, and appeals based on real cases from past electoral processes.<\/p>\n

\"\"Through initiatives like this, the \u201cPod lupom\u201d<\/em> Coalition seeks to empower representatives of civil society organizations to contribute\u2014through knowledge, collaboration, and active participation\u2014to building more transparent, inclusive, and fair elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina.<\/p>\n
