The Coalition for Free and Fair Elections “Pod lupom” has launched an informative and educational podcast titled “Electoral Compass”, with the aim of bringing the electoral process in Bosnia and Herzegovina closer to citizens. The podcast explores key challenges, necessary improvements, and ways in which everyone can get involved and contribute to strengthening electoral integrity.
The podcast will feature in-depth analysis of the most pressing electoral topics – from new technologies and political influence over polling station committees to electoral irregularities, sanctions, and the transparency of the Central Voter Register.
The podcast is part of the project “Civil Society for Electoral Integrity,” funded by the European Union and co-funded by the Embassy of France in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Sweden.
Across five planned episodes, to be released monthly until November 2025, host Hasan Kamenjaković will talk with leading experts in the field of elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“This podcast is not about preaching or lecturing – we’ll speak clearly, directly, and most importantly – usefully. Our goal is simple: to understand elections and everything related to them together, to see what positive changes are possible, what those changes are, and how each of us can contribute to making them happen,” said Hasan Kamenjaković.
The guest of the first episode was Irena Hadžiabdić, President of the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina. She discussed the steps toward introducing new technologies at all polling stations for the 2024 Local Elections, as well as the experiences and challenges encountered so far in their implementation.
