Coalition’s observers, 99% of them, accessed the polling stations without any hindrance, while 1% of observers had a problem entering polling stations because of insufficient communication between certain Local Election Commissions and the Central Election Commission, but also because of the problem with accreditation. Coalition is working with the Central and Local Election Commissions to resolve these problems.
All the members of the polling station committees were present at 85% of the polling stations at 6 a.m. The polling material was missing at 6% of polling stations, which shows that election administration was not prepared well enough for the Local elections.
Until 10 a.m., Coalition received 27 reports about the critical situations, based on which observers submitted 23 complaints into the minutes of work of the polling station committees. The complaints were submitted due to banning of observation, the delays with the opening of polling stations, irregularities in the voting process, persuading voters to vote for a particular option and because of the systemic violations of the Law by the polling station committees.
During Saturday and today until 10 a.m., citizens reported 16 cases of violating electoral silence, which are mainly related to political agitation to vote certain political subject, Facebook advertising and placarding during the night.
The Coalition calls on citizens to vote and use their right to vote, and the political subjects to respect the electoral silence and the BiH Election Law.
