An excerpt from the Provisional Voters’ List shall be made available to the public in the period from 120 to 90 days before the Election Day. The display period for the 2022 General Elections to be held on October 2, 2022 is from June 4 to July 4, 2022.
An excerpt from the Provisional Voters’ List was prepared as of the day of the announcement of the elections, i.e. May 4, 2022 in the electronic version, by basic constituencies and polling stations from previous elections. The excerpt does not contain information on the personal ID number and address of the voter. In this regard, the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina submitted an excerpt from the Provisional Voters’ List to the municipal/city election commissions.
Electoral commissions are obliged to display excerpts from the Provisional Voters’ List in electronic or printed form within the prescribed period at the Voters’ List Center, local communities, on the website of the municipality / city or election commission and other suitable places determined by the Provisional Voters’ List display plan, so the voters could access, check, correct or supplement their data with the competent authority and opt for the voting option (municipality, i.e. place of voting and manner of voting – in person or in absentia). If the election commission assesses that in a certain settlement, due to the impossibility of electronic verification, voters will not be able to verify their data, an excerpt from the Provisional Voters’ List for the polling station located in that settlement will be printed and displayed in a suitable place, accessible to these voters.
The Central Election Commission of BiH invites all citizens of BiH with the right to vote to inspect the excerpts from the Provisional Voters’ List, and if they determine the need to correct and supplement their data, to immediately contact the competent registry office and Center for voter list as to make necessary corrections or additions.
We also call on all those who have information that the excerpts contain the names of persons who have died to immediately notify the competent registry office and the center for the voter list in order to initiate procedures for registration of these persons in the register of deaths and to delete data of those persons from the voter lists that will be used for the purposes of the 2022 General Elections.
Displaying excerpts from the Provisional Voters ‘List for the public is extremely important in the segment of accuracy, timeliness and overall integrity of the Central Voters’ Register.
