Representatives of the Coalition “Pod lupom”, centers for voter’s register and registry offices in Bosnia and Herzegovina held a consultative meeting in Banja Luka where they discussed key aspects of their functioning. A comprehensive analyzes prepared by the Coalition “Pod lupom” pertaining to the functioning of the centers and offices responsible to maintain the integrity of the CVR were presented at the meeting.
The focus of the meeting was to exchange experiences among the participants. The discussion was based on the challenges that Centers for voter’s register and registry offices face in their daily work as well as on the current cooperation with the competent institutions.
One of the key segments of the meeting was to draft recommendations with the goal to increase the efficiency of the Centers for voter’s register and registry offices, which would ensure the accuracy of the CVR , which will maintain the changing nature of the electorate as accurately as possible.
The participants recognized the importance pertaining to up-to-dateness of the CVR in the maintaining of the integrity of the electoral process and contributing to a more transparent and efficient electoral system in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The proposed recommendations at the meeting will be used in the following period as a guide for future improvements to the electoral process.
