A training for civil society organizations that participated in the civic, non-partisan observation of the 2020 Local Elections was organised in Banja Luka with the goal to strengthen their capacities in the field of strategic planning and fundraising.
In the period to come, over 80 CSOs throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina will attend a three-day trainings in organisation of the Coalition “Pod lupom”. Trainings will be organized in Konjic and Brcko. The training on strategic planning and fundraising is the fourth in a series of trainings attended by CSOs representatives. Previously completed trainings referred to the public advocacy and institutional cooperation, Public relations and the election school.
A comprehensive approach, which includes both theory and practice, seeks to provide CSOs with a set of tools that will prepare them for civic observation of the 2022 General Elections and all future elections in their local communities and provide them skills they will continue to use in their daily work in different areas. – said in the Coalition “Pod lupom”.
Training in strategic planning and fundraising means that activists learn how to establish a strategic plan methodology, how to define strategic goals, strategic measures and establish a link with budgets and the fundraising process. Experts in the field of strategic planning will also transfer to the CSOs representatives the recommended approaches in their further work.
The training itself was of high quality and focused on strategic planning for our organizations and the transfer of experiences that will mean a lot to us in further work, and the practical parts of this training are certainly what will benefit us the most. – said Marko Lončar from the Omladinski klub (Youth Club), Teslić.
Anamarija Radeljić, Centar za edukaciju mladih, Travnik (Center for Youth Education, Travnik) said that she is glad that there are professional people at the training who can easily transfer knowledge and skills. – Strategic planning is especially useful, which for me as a new member of the organization sometimes is not understandable but now the process is more defined and applicable. – said Anamarija Radeljić.
Members of the Coalition “Pod lupom” remind us on implementing activities within the project “Systemic Transparency in the Election Process (STEP)” funded by the European Union, with the goal to strengthen the role and capacities of civil society to contribute to free and fair elections.
