What Will Voting Look Like in the General Elections? Ilidža Citizens Learn About New Election Technologies

    ShareTweetShareSend
Kako će izgledati glasanje na Općim/Opštim izborima? Građani Ilidže upoznali se s novim izbornim tehnologijama

The Coalition for Free and Fair Elections “Pod lupom” organized a practical demonstration of the voting process to give citizens an opportunity to familiarize themselves, ahead of the 2026 General Elections, with the new election technologies and changes they can expect at polling stations. The aim was to enable citizens to experience first-hand what the voting process will look like and to try out the new election technologies.

In addition to the new technologies, voters can expect a new ballot paper design and a different way of marking their ballots. Unlike in previous elections, the names of candidates will be provided on a separate candidate list, while voters will indicate their choice on the ballot paper by completely filling in the appropriate circle.

“It is very important to us that as many voters as possible become familiar with the new rule requiring them to vote for one political entity on ballots for legislative bodies in order for their ballot to be valid, before marking the numbers corresponding to the candidates to whom they wish to give their preferential votes,” the Coalition “Pod lupom” stated.

Given these changes, it is important that citizens familiarize themselves with the appearance of the ballot paper and the correct way to complete it before Election Day, in order to avoid confusion and mistakes and to exercise their right to vote without difficulty.

The practical demonstration of the voting process is taking place at Bingo City Center Ilidža, where citizens had the opportunity yesterday and today to learn about the new election technologies and try out first-hand what the voting process will look like during the 2026 General Elections.

As a socially responsible company, Bingo provided the venue free of charge for this two-day educational activity, which began yesterday, September 7, and concludes today, September 8, at 3:00 p.m.

“Timely voter education and practical demonstrations make the voting process easier for citizens and, we believe, further encourage them to exercise their right to vote. In this way, we contribute to reducing the number of invalid ballots, while also strengthening citizens’ confidence in the electoral process and the legitimacy of election results,” the Coalition “Pod lupom” stated.
