The Coalition for Free and Fair Elections “Pod lupom” informs the public that it engaged over 300 civic, non-partisan observers to observe Election Day in the cities of Bihać, Srebrenik and Tuzla, and in the municipalities of Bratunac and Vogošća. We would like to remind you that the Coalition “Pod lupom” is not observing Early Elections in Zvornik because only one candidate is running for elections in this city. Data from the field is sent to the Coalition’s Call Center, while the Coalition’s legal team works to eliminate election irregularities, and reporting is done in real-time. All observers were allowed access to the polling stations to which they were assigned.
In 83.5% of cases, all members of the Polling Station Committees were present at the polling stations at 06:00 a.m.
Currently in Tuzla, one Polling Station Committee is operating in an incomplete composition (polling station 050A129).
There was no shortage of election materials at majority of polling stations. At two polling stations, in Srebrenik (049A061) and Tuzla (050A103), the ballots were not manually counted.
From one election cycle to another, the list of members of the polling stations showing the name of the appointing political subject for every member of the polling station committee was not displayed at polling stations. In the 2023 Early Elections, at 17.1% of polling stations, the list was displayed but it contained a code instead the name of the political entity, and at 13.7% of polling stations the list of members of the polling station committee was not displayed at all.
At all polling stations, the ballot box was shown to be empty before the opening of the polling stations. Also, The secrecy of the vote was ensured at all polling stations i.e., all voting booths were arranged so that no one can see how a voter votes but in line with the new procedure requiring a voting booth to be facing observers and members of the polling station committees.
A total of 90.2% of polling stations were opened exactly at 7:00 a.m., while 9.8% of polling stations were opened at 7:15 a.m. Although the number of polling stations that were late to open polls is higher than usual, this can be attributed to weather conditions.
The Coalition “Pod lupom” calls on all political subjects to respect election rules and election silence. All political subjects are prohibited from participating in public political activities, such as rallies, or from influencing voters through the material in or around a polling station, or through any means of communication. The Coalition also calls on the media to not report on the activities related to the election campaign. The Coalition encourages citizens to cast their votes for it is the best way to prevent election fraud and not allow someone else to abuse their ballot papers.
The Coalition “Pod Lupom” calls on all citizens to contact the Coalition and report all observed irregularities either via the toll-free number 080 05 05 05, using the form ‘Prijavi izbornu nepravilnost’ (Report election irregularity) on the webpage www.podlupom.org or via social media networks.
