The latest training organized in District Brčko marked a completion of a series of trainings for CSOs that participated in civic, non-partisan observation of the 2020 Local Elections with the goal to strengthen their capacities in the field of Strategic Planning and Fundraising.
Over 80 CSOs throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina attended a three-day training organized by the Coalition Pod lupom in three BiH cities – Banja Luka, Konjic and Brcko. The training on Strategic Planning and Fundraising is the fourth in a series of trainings attended by representatives of CSOs. Previously completed trainings referred to the Public Advocacy and Institutional Cooperation, PR and the Election School.
Training on Strategic Planning and Fundraising implies that activists will learn how to create a strategic plan methodology, how to define strategic goals, strategic measures and establish a link with budgets and the fundraising process. Experts in the field of strategic planning transferred to CSOs representatives a recommended approaches in their further work.

Brčko
Ferida Mešković from the Youth Center “Vermont” attended the training in Brčko. – I have never before participated in workshops of this type pertaining to the strategic planning and it is now much clearer to me how it is necessary to approach this area. The tools we learned about on training will serve as a great guideline when we start to develop a strategic plan on our own. – said Ferida Mešković.
Konjic
Sejo Ivković attended the training in Konjic on behalf of the organization Volunteers and Friends of the Konjic Region (VIPK). – The training I attended justified my expectations. So far, I have not had any contact with strategic planning and fundraising so this training, thanks to coach Emina, brought me a lot of new knowledge. I had the opportunity to meet all the participants separately, talk about what each of them is doing and exchange experiences. I think that this training was also useful because we had a lot of group work and the opportunity to do exercises on a large number of topics and examples. I will use the new knowledge and experience gained at the training in my future engagement, both personally and through the work in my organization. – said Sejo Ivković.
The work was in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and the training itself was dynamic and interesting. I heard a lot of new things and was reminded on some of them so they will be used in my organization’s future work – said Frano Sosa, Youth Council.
Banja Luka
Anamarija Radeljić, Center for Youth Education Travnik, said that she is glad that there are professional people at the training who can easily transfer knowledge and skills. – Strategic planning is especially useful, which for me as a new member of the organization sometimes is not understandable but now the process is more defined and applicable. – said Anamarija Radeljić at the training organized in Banja Luka.
The training was of high quality and focused on strategic planning for our organizations as well as the transfer of experiences that will mean a lot to us in our further work; the practical parts of this training certainly will benefit us the most. – said Marko Lončar from the Youth Club Teslić.
The Coalition “Pod lupom” reminds that the last set of trainings on strategic planning and fundraising marked a completion of a larger set of trainings for CSOs. However, in the period to come and in accordance with the requirements of organizations, Coalition is planning to organize new trainings covering the areas CSOs identified as the most important for them in order to continue working on strengthening their capacities.
