The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina fined the ŽIVOT Party and its president, Bogdan Jovanović, a total of 6,000 KM.
The “Pod Lupom” Coalition reported the ŽIVOT Party and the president of the political organization to the CIK over a possible violation of the Election Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina. On July 23, a photograph/poster was published on the official Facebook profile of Bogdan Jovanović, president of the ŽIVOT Party, presenting him as a candidate in the upcoming 2026 General Elections.
The post was also sponsored with approximately USD 100, with the advertising campaign scheduled to begin on August 11, 2026. According to the Ad Library, the advertisement was still active as of September 2.
In addition, the “Pod Lupom” Coalition considered Article 16.14 (3) of the Law to have been violated. The provision states: “Conducting a paid election campaign through electronic and print media, or any form of paid public advertising, is prohibited, except for holding internal meetings of the bodies and statutory bodies of political entities, during the period from the day elections are called until the official start of the election campaign.”
The Central Election Commission upheld the complaint and the arguments presented by the “Pod Lupom” Coalition and imposed two separate fines. The ŽIVOT Party was fined 3,000 KM, while Bogdan Jovanović, as the party’s president, was also fined 3,000 KM.
